Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 3 tsp. cinnamon
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 2 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1 cup water
Icing:
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 6 Tbsp. milk
- 1 lb. powdered sugar
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions
Sift together sugar, flour, soda and cinnamon. Then add eggs, buttermilk and vanilla. Blend with mixer. Set aside.
Combine remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil in a saucepan. Add to first mixture and blend well. Pour batter into greased and floured 10x13 inch cake pan; bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes. Frost with icing while still hot.
For Icing: Blend ingredients and frost cooled cake.
