Fruit Smoothies
Smoothies are a great way to start your morning, they help give you the energy you need plus 75% of your fruit serving for the day.
Ingredients:
1 Banana.
3/4 cup frozen fruit (Strawberries, mixed berry, peaches etc.)
1/2 cup of yogurt, complimentary flavor.
1/2 cup soy milk or regular milk.
1 Tbsp flax seed oil (optional, gives you your omega 3 and 6)
Note: If you do not have yogurt or milk you can use juice in their place.
Place all of the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. If it is not moving very well add more milk.

I love to make smoothies, but for some reason when I use yogurt it gets lumpy and has a really gross texture. Do you know why it does this? I quit using the yogurt and just use juice. I also use just a drop of vanilla extract. It really brings out the flavor of the fruit. But don't use too much or you will really be able to taste it.
