Removing Hot Glue

To remove hot glue cleanly from surfaces: Wait until glue has dried, then get a Q-tip and apply alcohol around the edges of the hot glue. It works quickly and easily.

RE: Removing Hot Glue

It depends on what the glue is stuck, but smaller slicker finished items like glass or metal, work well when you place them in the freezer and let the glue freeze hard. It will then pop loose easily. (09/15/2010)

Request: Removing Hot Glue

I came across a quilted memory wall hanging. It had cloth family pictures hot glued on it. I scraped most of the glue off. Does anyone know how I can get the rest off?

Use your hair dryer to soften the glue, then just peel it off. Be careful not to get the hot air too close to your item.
