Maybe you should do a swimming birthday party. I've had at least 2 or 3 of these and they are always fun! The best part is! They are not expensive!

I am a teacher of 20 years, and have 2 grown sons. One place my sons and I especially liked was Hershey Park in Pennsylvania. It is clean, fun, and there are so many things to do you can't really do them all in one day. It beats most theme parks by miles, especially if you enjoy Hershey's Chocolate.
I wasn't sure how far you meant by "anywhere", but my sons were your age when we went, and we had a wonderful time!
Have a happy 12th birthday.

Here are some ideas for you:

1. Skating rink (indoor or outdoor)
2. Movie theater (go during a matinee - some have a private room for the party)
3. Paintball range (this can get expensive, though, unless your friends have their own equipment & paintballs)
4. Pizza parlor like Chuck E. Cheese's
5. Miniature golf (indoor or outdoor)
6. Horseback riding

I have 2 teenage sons, and I think we tried all but 2 of these ideas!

Do you really want to go out? My niece was turning 11 and she had someone come to her house and show her and her friends how to make necklaces - and everyone got to take home what they made! Something like that would be fun, Michael's crafts I think does parties for stuff like that... or maybe a cooking class to make pizza's... think of what you like to do or want to learn and see if someone can "host" your party for you!
