Youth Banquet Centerpiece

We are having a teen banquet, the theme is, "I Want That Mountain."

Any ideas? Especially looking for an idea on centerpieces.

A mountain is often covered in pine trees and clipping some branches to make a center piece should be easy enough if you hit the woods with some clippers! Maybe do some pine cones and some raffia tufts, bare twigs covered in clear glitter, a few branches with the blue berries would be cool. I would stay away from red ribbon as this says Christmas and not rustic mountain top. The smell of fresh pine filling the room is a bonus! But watch out for the sap! If it is religious, I have seen a copy of a Bible page (of choice) made into a cone shaped container that held a small bouquet of these types of items... nice touch. They made on for each chair at the table, like a nosegay.

Is this a religious based event or inspirational through school?

I have a youth banquet in 2 days and need one big centerpiece - something to do with starting the new school year. Any ideas?

RE: Youth Banquet Centerpiece

How about a big basket full of school supplies, maybe something in school colors? Include a school shirt or the like. You could raffle it off at the end. (08/12/2004)

RE: Youth Banquet Centerpiece

Get a photo tree (our dollar store carries them here) and take thread and tie school supplies to it. (08/12/2004)
