Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup oatmeal
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 can pie filling (cherry)

Directions

Mix first five ingredients together and press half the mixture into an 8x8 inch pan. Place pie filling on top of crumb mixture, spreading evenly. Top with remaining of crumb mixture, covering all the cherries. Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees F.

This is very similar to a recipe I have - mine says to use apple or peach filling but I guess you can use what you prefer! This recipe is great because if you keep all ingredients in the house - you can whip it up in a flash when you need a dessert at the last minute.

This sounds good except I don't like cherries. I'll try it with apple pie filling.
