Knee-Highs and Yarn as Filling Material

For crochet projects that need filling: Give old knee-highs a new life. Use them as filling material.

Also, save every smidgen of yarn. A whole bunch of little yarn snippets inside the old knee-highs is good for extra filling material.

The use of nylons for stuffing, especially for toys that children may own terrifies me. All that melting nylon in case of fire, even the slightest spark! As for yarn, unless it is wool, it too will melt and drip and burn. Please, as one who has seen the effects of burning nylon, DO NOT DO THIS in children's toys!
