What kind of glue do you use to put a rocking chair together?

Elmer's Carpenter's Wood Glue.
They make Wood Glue,That's the name of it. Get it at any hardware store, some grocery stores, Wal-mart etc.
You can also try: Tite Bond Wood Glue. Many years ago a friend of mine made a frame for her waterbed and she used Tite Bond Wood Glue to put it together. She allowed for the correct drying time and when ready put her waterbed mattress into the frame. It held and she still uses it! I also use it on small wood craft projects. It holds extremely well.
Get a wood glue, they go by many names, all should have a good standing if you get at a local hardware store, they only carry what sells the best. Don't use household glue instead. Most wood glues should be a yellow tint, similar to sawdust color.
