Directions:
Line the bottom of a 9 x 13 in. pan with marshmallows. Prepare cake mix per package directions Remove enough batter for 6 small cupcakes. Pour remaining batter over marshmallows. mix dry gelatin into cherry pie filling and spread over batter. Bake in 350 degree oven for 50 minutes.

I assume you could make 6 small cupcakes. One whole cake mix is probably a bit too much for this recipe. I don't know for sure, though.

You state to save enough for 6 small cupcakes, but don't tell what to do with the saved batter????
