- 2 lb. chicken pieces
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup margarine or butter
- 1 cup orange juice
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1 1/4 cup sliced peaches
- 1 tsp. paprika
Combine salt, paprika and flour and use to coat the chicken. Heat margarine/butter in a large skillet. Saute chicken until golden brown on all sides. Mix the orange juice, brown sugar, vinegar, basil and nutmeg in a bowl. Add to chicken. Cover and simmer 35-40 minutes until chicken is tender. Add peaches and simmer 5 more minutes.
