For a make shift finger splint, cut out the handle part of a Cascade dishwashing detergent bottle, cut a hole in part that goes toward your wrist, and hold it on with a bread wrap twist wrapped around the area just above your knuckle. I've been wearing this all morning following my finger surgery yesterday, and I haven't bumped it once.
