Purse Made from Old Ties
Cut old ties in equal lengths of your choice and sew together to make a neat purse. Line it with an inexpensive muslin and you're all set!

Looks cute! I have this on my to do list. I've heard that it's important to make sure all the ties are of the same fabric content, not a mixture such as silk/polyester. I suppose this has more to do with laundering later, but it might also affect the sewing process.
