Make Too Large Dust Ruffle Fit with Duct TapeLast winter I bought a really nice comforter set at a good price, but it was a queen and the bed is a full size. The dust ruffle was quite large but no problem, I grabbed the roll of duct tape and the fit was perfect in no time.

My Frugal Life: Share Your GardenMost of what I have in my gardens in the raised beds (other than the fresh vegetables planted) pretty much came from others. As friends and neighbors, we check over each others gardens and say what we have extra of.

Ask For Reimbursement For DamagesThere is no harm in asking for a fix to your problem if someone else caused it, they can only say no. Often they say yes. For example, our boat was covered with rust stains after a rusty flag pole was cut down, ruining our new paint job.

Sutey on leash.

Sutey (Shepherd-Sharpei-Husky Mix)Sutey is my foster dog, she is eleven months old and is a shepherd-sharpei-husky mix. I was brought Sutey and her littermate by a health nurse who found them starving and suffering from mange.

Wildlife: MothWhile cleaning a bench on our deck, I discovered a large, puffy cocoon with a beautiful moth hanging onto it. I ran for my camera and scooted under the bench on my back. This photo was snapped after it's wings were fully opened.

Recycled Garden Totem

Recycled Garden TotemI had a corner of my garden that needed some color this spring. I saw some garden totems made of glass, but I wanted something with more color.

eggs cooking

Use Bowl Scraper When Making Scrambled EggInstead of using a spatula, that doesn't take the eggs off the sides of the pan, I use a rubber bowl scraper. If your heat isn't super high, this will solve all your problems. You can buy usually 3 bowl scrapers in a pack for about a dollar almost anywhere.

Wildlife: Blue HeronI was out at a park in and was trying to photograph other birds when this heron wandered out from behind some tall grass. I hoped to snap a shot of the bird catching a fish, but no luck!

Spray Paint Plastic MatsI have changed the color scheme of my deck furnishings this year so my plastic mats didn't fit anymore. I decided to simply spray paint them with an indoor/outdoor spray paint that is good for metal, plastic, wood, etc.

Scenery: Mountain (CA)This is mountain we saw on our trip to California

Hibiscus

Garden: HibiscusI was out in the back this week and happened to go to the side yard, looking for Buddy. And I was standing near the hibiscus and saw the moon shining through the leaves. My camera is not very good, but this was fun anyway.

Stoney (Cat)One day on my way to the restroom, I found my cat Stoney using it. He is now elderly (11 years old), never goes out anymore and uses the restroom every morning.
