Apple Tree Supporting Pumpkins

This heirloom Amish Pumpkin plant chose to climb a smallish apple tree in our garden. When you look closely at the first photo, you can see the apple tree branches smothered by pumpkin leaves.

As the pumpkins grew it was necessary to support them, so as not strain the apple tree branches. Now that the foliage is dying back, you can see these guys getting quite big!
