Making a Foil Lined Mason Jar Light

Foil Lined Mason Jar Light - glowing red light filled Mason jarThis is cute foil lined Mason jar light is perfect to turn on in a dark room and enjoy the views. (If you have white lights, it would be more of a constellation light jar), but we just had red lights only.

Note: Use during parent supervision and do not use for long hours; turn off after using.

Supplies:

  • Mason jar
  • lights
  • foil
  • toothpicks
Foil Lined Mason Jar Light - supplies
 

Steps:

  1. Tear a piece of foil long enough to wrap inside your Mason jar.
  2. Foil Lined Mason Jar Light - tear a length of foil
     
  3. Lay the foil on a box and using toothpicks, have your kids poke holes.
  4. Foil Lined Mason Jar Light - kids poking holes in foil with toothpicks

  5. Once they have finished poking holes, wrap the inside of the Mason jar with the foil.
  6. Foil Lined Mason Jar Light - line jar with the foil
     
  7. Add your lights in, turn on, and close the lid. Enjoy!
