I've seen several requests on what to serve at graduation parties, etc. The people I know don't have themes for any of their parties, no matter the occasion. About the only theme we have is the occasional "Over The Hill" party.
However, it seems to be happening more and more that graduation parties are being held in parks and are potluck style. This could be done for any type of party or reception. It would sure cut down on expenses.

Potluck definitely sounds like a good plan. You might ask folks to communicate though, or pass around a signup sheet. That way you won't end up with 12 cases of soda and no napkins, lol! (05/22/2010)
