Plastic Spoon Mermaid Doll

This is a cute little spoon doll that your child can bring as a companionship toy on a walk, on car rides, to the park/restaurant/friend, or family's house. This is small, lightweight, and will be entertainment for your child.

My daughter is currently in a mermaid phase, so I thought this would be cute/fun project to make. Sure enough, it's her current favorite toy!

Total Time: 15 minutes

Supplies:

Steps:

  1. Wrap pipe cleaner around center of spoon handle. You can apply a couple of drops of hot glue on the top and bottom to secure in place.
  2. Using felt, freehand and cut out a mermaid tail.
  3. Hot glue the mermaid tail and bikini top (floral ribbon) to the spoon.
  4. Using a Sharpie, draw the nose and mouth. Then, secure goggly eyes with hot glue.
  5. Cut a couple strands (4) of yarn for mermaid hair and secure on the spoon with hot glue.
  6. For finishing touches, my daughter added some glitter glue to the mermaid's tail.
