Repurposed Festive Window

Whenever I see abandoned broken doors or window panels, I instantly find treasure in them. I think they make beautiful pieces of art when repurposed. Here is a large paneled window piece painted on for the fall season.

Supplies:

Steps:

  1. Find a design you like. We used an image from an autumn stamp set. Start painting an outline of the design with white paint.
  2. Start filling in the outlines with white paint.
  3. When you have the basic shape of the design fully filled in, let it dry.
  4. When completely dry, use a pencil to lightly draw your designs on it as a guide. Then use paint to colour it in. Let dry.

This is beautiful, and you saved something from the landfill.

Yes! I used to be quite shy about collecting things like this to repurpose but now I'm proud to do it. It's fun, it's free, and it makes a great scene and/or gift. Thanks, Judy!
