Smash Containers Flat To Save Room In Trash

Plastic milk cartons, juice cartons, or laundry detergent containers can play havoc with garbage space when you are through with them. We have no recycling where I live, unfortunately. I started stepping on all of mine and smashing them down to a mere fraction of what they once were.

Now I always have room in my kitchen trash can. This saves on trash bags tremendously and is a great way to get out your aggressions. Kids would love to give you a hand. Just make sure that you give them a rinse first so you don't have sour milk or what-have-you all over the floor!
