How do you clean laminate wood floor?

I clean my kitchen laminate floor with a microfiber cloth. You just wet the cloth with hot water, wring it out, and wash the floor by hand. It doesn't leave any streaks. Of course, if there is something stuck on, you have to use a little elbow grease. You can check them out at www.mystreakfreecloths.com (10/19/2009)

My husband just put a laminate wood floor in my kitchen last month and the manufacturer recommended Windex. (10/23/2009)

Try this homemade recipe. It works great on my laminate floors.

  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup rubbing alcohol
  • 1/3 cup white vinegar
  • 3 drops liquid dish washing soap
  • 5-10 drops lemon essential oils (optional)

Combine all ingredients in a clean spray bottle. Spray sparingly on laminate floors and mop up. The rubbing alcohol helps speed up the drying process. (11/08/2009)
