Easy Lace Bookmark

Simple and sophisticated, this bookmark is so easy to make and will make a nice addition if you are giving a book as a gift.

Total Time: 15 minutes

  1. Apply white glue to each end of the wide lace to prevent fraying. The glue will dry clear. While the glue is still wet, turn up a hem to neaten it off.
  2. Wrap the narrow lace around the wide lace near one end and tie a tight single knot.
  3. Then tie it into a bow.

  5. Pull it and tweak it to make it small and neat. If you have trouble making it lie flat, there are plenty of websites, including Thriftyfun, with instructions for making a perfect bow.
  6. Thread one of the beads onto one end of the narrow lace.

  8. Knot it, trim it, and apply glue to secure it.
  9. Repeat with the other end of the narrow lace.

  11. Make sure the glue has dried thoroughly before using your bookmark.
