The best thing to do is go to the doctor and have him treat you with something like oral tetracycline before you scar. If you can't get it that way, in the United States, you can buy it in tablet form in the fish department at the pet store. It is used for water in the fish tank, but works for humans. My son cured a bad bite from a cat that way in an emergency. It needs to be taken continuously for awhile. (02/01/2007)

When a pimple is beginning to form, apply ice to it for a few minutes. Lemon juice on pimples will also help kill the bacteria that makes pimples worse. Mixing benzoyl peroxide (available over the counter) with prescription Clindamycin cream (half and half) works like a charm for stubborn acne. Immunity building supplements - zinc, echinacea, golden seal, and vitamin C - taken every day - can help acne as well. A chinese herbal product called "Lienchiaopaitu" - taken four times daily - is also helpful.
Special soaps, cleansers, masks, and toners do not help acne so don't waste your money on them. (02/01/2007)
If you have access to a doctor, you really should have it checked out, especially if it is scarring. Sometimes, depending on your medical insurance or what treatment is available to you, acne treatment medicines can be less expensive (over time especially) than home remedies, especially if the medication works well. Just a thought. (02/01/2007)
Depending on what is causing your acne there are different approaches to getting rid of it. Acne can be caused by diet or hormone imbalance or allergies. These are the things I recommended to my daughters. Try them to see which works best for you.

The best home remedy for acne is drink loads and loads of water and exercise or if that does not work then I'm sorry keep on trying. (02/12/2007)

Wash your face as often as possible. Once in the morning and once at night! I promise this will work. Just make sure you have a nice, gentle soap. (03/26/2007)
Mix together milk and tomato juice. It works wonders as a cleanser for sensitive skin. It also helps spots. (05/09/2007)

I used some baking soda and I saw difference in my skin the first time I used it. Just mix baking soda and water together to make a paste and massage it on your skin for like 20 seconds then wash it right off you don't want to leave it on too long or it will dry out your skin. My acne is really bad so if this works for me it should work for you. (05/21/2007)
I had really bad acne! My brother did too. One day I saw him and I was just amazed at how great his skin looked. I asked him how he did it. He said believe it or not just dabbing a little Colgate toothpaste on your pimples before you go to bed will kill them, and they will be gone when you wake up in the morning. So I tried it and it really works. (06/29/2007)
I don't know if this will help or not, but I have heard about this remedy for twenty years and it's supposed to work.
Twice a day, use honey on your face as a mask. Leave it on for ten minutes then rinse with lukewarm water.
This is supposed to get rid of scars on the face.
Good luck and God bless you! (09/07/2007)
I have really bad acne, I put chest rub on my face every night after I get out of the shower and I rinse it off with warm water and I get a HOT wash cloth and let it sit on my face. It works, my acne is clearing up quickly:). (02/20/2008)
It really does work. It's amazing! (03/21/2008)
Get a papaya and puree it in a blender. Put it in ice molds so they form into small ice cubes, leave it overnight until it's hard. Rub on ice cube over your face until it's all over. Wash it off with lukewarm water and pat dry. Put some eskinol papaya toner on a cotton bud and gently wipe it on your face. I hope it works for you. I've done it for a few days and I'm already noticing improvements! (05/09/2008)
I also had acne, still have some scars. The only thing that worked for me was less washing. I found out the hard way that I was washing too much and irritating the situation even more. I wash at night and use astringent in the morn. That's it. Sunblock, sunblock everyday. xoxo (10/15/2008)
If it is a lot of little pimples, wash with Dial anti-bacterial soap. It will kill the bacteria on your face, and will help clear up the little ones.
I use a salicylic acid toner, you may have to experiment to see what strength you can use.
I use 2%, but my daughter can only use 1% or it will dry out her skin too much. If you do get larger ones, toothpaste works really well (white, not gel). If they open up, dab them with hydrogen peroxide. They bubble up and look worse for a little while, but then they dry out. This dries out your skin around it, so be careful. Good luck!
PS After 30 years of acne, the only thing that really helped me was going on birth control pills - I don't know if this is a possibility for you, but it really worked for me. (10/17/2008)
Clean your face with alcohol using a cotton ball. You will notice that after you clean it the cotton ball is dirty. It burns the pimples. Toothpaste may also help, but only place on the affected area because it can get irritated.
Mary-Kay Velocity facial cleanser cleans your face leaving it soft and fresh u may also use Mary-Kay Velocity moisturizer it is for blemishes and disappears your imperfections fast =] I almost forgot u can place avocado on your face and gently massage in a circular motion it really works trust me your face may start to feel a tingly sensation but don't worry.
