Scones

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup cream

Directions

Cut the butter into dry ingredients until the size of peas. Beat eggs and cream together in a separate bowl. Reserve 2 tablespoons of egg mixture. Make a well in the dry ingredients. Pour liquid into this and mix into well blended dough. Place on floured board. Pat into 3/4 inch thick. Cut with a knife into triangle shape. Brush with reserved egg mix and sprinkle with sugar. Bake in 450 degree F oven for 15 minutes.
