Make your own heart stamp frugally from a tissue paper roll.

Approximate Time: 5 minutes

  1. Cut the roll in half, this will make two stamps.
  2. Crease them evenly in half, leave one crease as is. The other crease bends inward, this forms the heart. You may have to recrease to get it to stay like you want.
  3. Set a small damp sponge on a plastic lid, pour some paint on top. Now you are ready to stamp away!
  4. If the paper roll end gets worn down use your second one. Many stamps could be made at once if you save up the rolls.

Great for Valentine cards, envelopes, wrapping paper, etc. and easy enough for a small child to do.

I save old toilet paper rolls and paper towel rolls. For Valentine's Day this year I covered the cardboard rolls with Valentine craft paper, you could use wrapping paper. I tied each end with Valentine colored ribbon and I filled the inside with seasonal Hershey kisses. It is similar to the "English Cracker" idea but it won't make a noise if you break it open.

Kids love to decorate the wrapping paper or craft paper with extra stickers, stamping etc to dress it up even further.

These make very nice favors at any party anytime and any age. Just cover the toilet roll tube with appropriately themed wrapping paper and tie ends with ribbons. You could also just cover the tube with white paper and use cellophane (sp?) either colored or ones with designs on them to cover and then put ribbons on the ends.

I have a bunch of toilet paper rolls. I'm wanting to make some Valentine crafts with them. I just don't know any ideas on what to do with them. Any suggestions on reusing? I am interested in any sites or books I could read or suggestions you have. Thanks.

Decorate the outside with persons name and stuff with chocolates and a love note. Wrap "candy style" with tissue paper, just gather the edges and tie with ribbon.
