My boss is retiring in the next few weeks. We plan to give him a party and a gift. Can anyone think of some good suggestions for these? We are collecting money from the staff so there will be some money to spend. - Regina - New York City

As a suggestion, how about a small live tree that he can plant in his yard as a long-time remembrance from all of you. You could put bows on the tree if you want that are attached to presents on the table/desk around it. Another suggestion would be season tickets to a play theatre around where he lives. A week's rent on a cabin or, depending on the cash, plane tickets to Vegas. Don't know your boss but thought I would make a few suggestions anyway.
