Paper Plate Alternative

To make a homemade paper plate, place a paper towel over a plate or saucer. Have a sandwich, cheese and crackers, or those cookies we all love. Remove your paper towel revealing your clean plate. Then dust off any crumbs from your paper towel and replace your clean plate. You can even use your paper towel to wipe off your your counter tops if it is not soiled.

Save the expense of running your dishwasher so often.

Coffee filters make great paper plate substitutes. I use them as a separator between a stack of brownies so they don't stick together, or to leave a note. Also when waded up into a tiny ball they take up even less room in the garbage can.

I am like Shelyn-it has has food sitting on it and I would wash it before I put it bak in the cabinet.

This is a wonderful idea, never thought of this one. I would definitely use this idea a lot.

In my opinion, it is still a used plate and I'd have to wash it or at the least, rinse it.
