Do you know how to protect fruit on trees? My peaches were disappearing at night. I think it was an opossum or raccoon, so I put a solar light near the tree. It worked and saved my peaches. Has anybody else tried this? Good luck.

Tip: Pest Control for Fruit Trees

Archived on 06/18/2009

Mix together:

1 cup cider vinegar
1 cup sugar
1 cup water

Then add 1 banana peel

Cut a large hole in a gallon milk jug and add the mixture.

Hang the jug from the fruit tree before flowers appear and enjoy the bug free fruit. We have used this for 3 years, and have trees drooping with fruit. A wonderful no spray way to go.
