Usually on dryers and washers there is a safety mechanism in place so that people can't start them without the door closed. Open the door and look around the edge of the dryer to see if there is an area that pushes in when the door is closed. The spot lines up with a latch or peg of some type on the dryer door. Try to get your door lined up and hopefully it will work again.
