Replacing a Lock on a Steamer Trunk
I have an old steamer trunk and a new lock for it. I need someone to tell me the hardware I need to attach it and how to attach it. The lock I have is a D-3815 lock. Please help.

Google Hippo Hardware in Portland, and click similar.
You will get a listing of stores handling old parts.
Then you'll have to write them. I worked for an antique
dealer for 9 years and I'm not sure parts are made any longer, though there are still trunks being made for kids going to college, that sort of thing.

You might also google steamer trunks, because maybe someone out there likes to collect and restore them.
