I am looking for a crochet afghan shell stitch pattern that begins by one shell stitch which is in the corner of the square and grows to a full size afghan. I think the original pattern was in an early workbasket magazine.

I am looking for a crochet shell pattern baby blanket. The one I originally purchased was from Leisure Arts.( probably at least 20 years ago) Was a pamphlet. Need to make 3 within the next few months and cannot find the pattern. It was easy, but makes a beautiful blanket. Contact me at kaknutson2 AT comcast.net

Can anyone send me the original pattern for the square afghan that starts in the center and moves out with shell stiches and then a double cross stitch, finishing with a shell stitch. It was originally a baby afghan from the 70's?
Please e-mail to dawn.widdop AT yahoo.com
Thanks to all!

I am looking for a crochet pattern for a shell stich baby afghan. It was originally sold in kit form at Lee Wards. The baby is due in early December! Please advise if you know where I can obtain a copy of the pattern. I have tried several pattern sites with no results. Chris

RE: Shell Stitch Baby Afghan Pattern

I have a pattern for a baby afghan that is not the one you are looking for but an old one that my mother in law had from many years ago. It is beautiful, with the shells in the center making a total square, a flat single crocheted border around the square and then a shelled edging around the afghan to finish it. I have made many afghans with this pattern and have had many many compliments on it.

Email me if you would like the pattern, okay? (08/29/2005)
