I have chickens. Never have to use my garbage disopsal. They eat pretty much anything, and love it when I feed them. They get rewarded for their eggs and I get rewarded getting rid of leftovers when ever necessary.
When I lived in rural NH I composted food. But how can I compost in a suburban setting with very strict rules about everything? My neighbors probably don't even know what composting is.
Hey,
Why not compost leftover food. Then you don't have to wait for garbage day, you can use the compost for gardening, and you will be helping save the environment!
I'm very lucky. Thursday night we have leftovers and it's garbage night. Friday night the fridge is pretty cleared out so I have some place to put my groceries when I get home with them.
