I found this footprints poem on the Internet. I did a foot print of my daughter's foot, then once it dried, scanned it to the computer. I then used a graphic program, added the poem and pasted the footprint.
As a toddler teacher in a preschool setting, I've done footprints and handprints with poems for years as gifts to moms and dads and to include in the children's portfolios. This is one of my favorites!!
As a dad and grandpa of five I was excited by this poem. We have the footprints and I am an avid scrapbooker. So thanks for the inspiration for many new pages in the books I am making for my grand children.
Thank you so much for this neat idea. But it looks like the poem got cut off at the end . "So, " Can you repost then ending of the poem? Thank you in advance.

Editor's Note: Hi Bette, it looks like it is all there. Here is the poem:
For My Daddy
"Walk a little slower Daddy," said a child so small, "I'm following in your footsteps and I don't want to fall.
Sometimes your steps are very fast, Sometimes they're hard to see; So walk a little slower, Daddy, For you are leading me.
Someday when I'm all grown up, You're what I want to be; Then I will have a little child Who'll want to follow me.
And I would want to lead just right, And know that I was true, So walk a little slower, Daddy, For I must follow you."
My son and his wife had a baby in November and I can't think of a better gift that surely would be held in the heart. My son is in Iraq at the moment, I think this is just what he needs. I's beautiful.
