Pumpkin Pie Dessert


  • 1 deluxe yellow cake mix
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup margarine, melted
  • 1/2 cup nuts
  • 1 can pumpkin pie filling (30 oz.)
  • Ad
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 2/3 cup milk, light cream or evaporated milk
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. ginger
  • 1/2 cup nuts
  • 1/4 cup or less melted margarine


Reserve 1 cup of dry cake mix, combine rest with 1 egg, 1/2 cup margarine and nuts. Pat gently into a greased and floured 9x13 inch pan or jelly roll pan. Mix pie filling, 2 eggs and milk together. Pour over cake mixture. To the cup of cake mix, add spices, nuts and melted margarine. Sprinkle over filling. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour. Good served with Cool Whip or ice cream.
