Grass in sidewalk cracks? Plain old table salt will do it. Just pour a generous amount anywhere you don't want grass. Careful though it will kill most other plants too.

describe why it will kill the plants like the roots cant drink or eat the salt and it rots the roots and stuff like that you know???

Add some white vinegar with the salt for the bigger, tougher weeds. Works every time. It's safe to use in areas where there are pets and small children, and much more economical than some of the famous 'weed killers' on the market.

I've used the salt....and also used just boiling water...it also works great.
