Recently at a kids day event they were handing out orange emergency stickers you could put on your child's car seat/booster in the car. There was a place to put all your child's emergency/medical information in case you were in an accident. Well I had more than one child in car seats so I decided to make something emergency personnel could use.

I got an empty 35mm film canister and painted it white and put a red cross on it. I poked a small hole through the bottom of the canister and put kite string through the hole long enough to tie to the car seat towards the back side so your child wont grab it. Inside the canister I put a rolled up a piece of paper with all our information on it. I have made some for all the little ones in my family who ride in car seats.

Awesome idea. You can get the film canisters just by going to a local photographer or Eckerds,CVS...any place that developes film. I like the clear canisters. I'm going to tell this one to friends. Never heard about it before but it makes so much sense to do. Thanks for telling us about it. :o)
