Removing Water Stains from Old Wallpaper

I was wondering what if anything could be done to remove water stains from wallpaper? I cannot replace the stained section as they do not make the pattern anymore (antique victorian).

HOW TO REMOVE WATER STAINS

It is hard to remove water stains from the old paper without creating more water stains. You might try a little Oxiclean. Mix up a little with very hot water. Take a cotton swab and dip it in the oxiclean solution and squeeze so it won't be too web. Carefully dab it on the spot. If that seems to help you could try a larger section with a damp cloth soaked in oxiclean. It's important not to get it too wet or you will just have more water spots.

Another idea is to find another wall paper in similar colors, like a border to cover that area.
