C's Sawdust Pie

Ingredients

  • 7 egg whites
  • 1.5 cups each sugar, graham cracker crumbs, pecans, and shredded coconut
  • 1 9 inch unbaked pie shell
  • Ad
  • whipped cream, banana slices, and mint sprig

Directions

In large bowl, mix first 5 ingredients. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake 38 minutes till glossy. Cool and garnish.

What is the temperature you bake it at - most are 350, but would like to be sure. I have made one like this several years ago and whipped the egg whites, then folded the other ingredients into it. It was very good.

Sorry everyone. Yes, the egg whites are unbeaten and the degree is 350 for the 38 minutes. I had to wait till my friend in NC got back to me with the info.

I must have been sleepy that night!
