Hot Dog Casserole

Ingredients

  • 4 hot dogs, sliced about 1/2" thick round pieces
  • 1/2 a small onion, diced
  • 16 oz macaroni, cooked and drained
  • 1 can cream soup (your choice)
  • 1/2 can milk
  • Cheese, optional
  • Ritz crackers, optional

Directions

Brown the hotdog and onion together over medium heat until onions are golden and hot dogs heated through. Mix together hotdog mix with macaroni. Pour can cream soup in casserole dish. Fill can half way up with milk and mix with cream soup. Pour in hotdogs and macaroni and mix all together. If I have cheese on hand, I throw some on top. I also like to crumble up some Ritz crackers for an extra something and put them on top. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 30 minutes.

This recipe is easy to double, quadruple or whatever. Also, I generally use whatever pasta I have on hand such as rotini, shells, bowties, or whatever... I've also used sausage instead of hot dogs. This is very versatile. Have fun!
