try red hot pepper,either spray or sprinkle. mix chili powder in a hand sprayer.,or get some hot pepper flakes or powder, and sprinkle the flakes or powder on and around your plants. Repeat after a rain.

get chickens, maybe poults, already yard ready...
if you can of course.Or ducks?
