What are some creative things that I can do with a Chinese paper lantern (the round kind)? I want to use it decoratively, but I don't want to use it as a light. Any ideas?

Take a black marker and in a carefree loose scribbling style, do a map of the world.

Put the lantern over a tall, skinny cylinder type flower vase and put floweres in it. Something twiggy like forsythia or plum branches(I noticed today the plums are already blooming) would be pretty.
