I read an article recently on the yahoo news page that rated Pembroke Pines, FL a one of the best places in the country to raise children. My grandmother lived there for years and I can tell you it's great!

Check the demographics for any city by typing "name of city, Florida demographics". (example: Orlando, Florida demographics). This will give you information regarding the crime rates for that city, the income of the average citizen, the average house price, climate, schools, etc. I hope this helps.
