Makeup Stain on a Cotton Sweater

I have gotten makeup on a cotton sweater and cannot getit out. The sweater is black.

Hi Jane.... I just watched a show on PBS about stain removal and one of the problems was make-up and lipstick. I tried it and it worked. Soak the stained area with hairspray and gently rub bar soap all over the area then rinse with cool water. I couldn't believe how easy it was.
