Sand And Vinegar For the Inside of Bottles

I have used a couple of different methods for cleaning bottles or other hard to reach items. The first one is filling the object with straight, plain vinegar and letting it sit for a day or two. If this does not work then add a bit of sand to the vinegar and shake it really well, repeatedly.

If this does not work, I have used denture cleaning tablets. I break one into small enough pieces to drop them into the object being cleaned. Then add warm water and let sit. If it does not get cleaned on the first try then I repeat the process. Both of these methods have worked successfully for me on many different items, such as narrow necked bottles, salt and pepper shakers, vases, etc.
