Why Are the Flowers Falling Off My Cucumber?

I live in Tallahassee Florida. Why are the flowers on my cucumbers falling off?

Most likely what you are seeing are some of the early male flowers. Look at the base of the flowers and if you don't a swelling then it is a male flower.

The male flowers come on earlier than the females, natures way of making sure the flowers will get pollinated.

You are probably seeing the male flowers fall off. If the flower has no mini-cuke shaped swelling at the base, it is male, and it is not a problem if it falls off.

Cucumbers usually will get pollinated on their own (bees) so don't worry.
