Bronze Request Medal for All Time! 65 Requests

Does anyone know what TCP is?

Someone on this site recommended it to use as a gargle for a sore throat.

Thank you!

TCP is a liquid antiseptic manufactured by Pfizer Ltd. in the U.K.
As per instructions it soothes pain, fights infection and can be used for sort throats mouth ulcers, cuts, grazes, bites, stings and spots.
We live in Australia and have our families in the U.K. send this to us by post (airmail).
I, personally, have used it for troublesome mouth ulcers and here in Australia, my husband swears by it for helping heal mosquito bites and relieve the itching. It has multiple uses and depending on what you need it for it can be used diluted or undiluted. I wish we could find it in Australia.
It has a strong distinctive (clinical) smell but is wonderfully effective. Hope this helps.
