Miss Penelope is 3 years old. We were given her by family members who felt we needed to fill the empty spot our beloved Princess left after she was killed. Ironically Penelope's birthday was the exact day we lost Princess. Penelope is C-R-A-Z-Y over the water hose! She wears a bikini and she runs and jumps up to bite the stream from the hose.
She loves a toy of any kind to play fetch with. There is one thing she LOVES the most to play with and it's the little pom poms we use for crafting, but it has to be the metallic ones. She holds them in her mouth awhile, then spits it out and gets it again. Then when you least expect it she looks at you and spits the thing out to you.
Penelope has been a joy to us; she livens up the older dogs and us. You can see by the photo just how she adores her babies and she is definitely a good mother. We still have our moments of grief over losing Princess, but Penelope reminds us that things do get better. We love her a lot.

I love this! She looks just like my 4 year old. Mine is a male and the first of October this year he had to have back surgery. I was scared to death he would never walk again but one can hardly tell he had surgery. He's running and playing as ever before. Please take care as you probably know dachshunds are known for back problems.
