Reusing Two Liter Bottles

Two liter pop bottles are handy for transporting punch or other drinks to a party without worrying about spilling. They can be laid on their side in a refrigerator if there is not room to set them upright. I also freeze water in them for ice for our camper cooler.

I also store drinking water in them for an emergency water supply. About 14 gallons per person is recommended for a two week supply. This would be about 28 of the 2 liter bottles full. The water should be changed about every six months and be set in a dark place as light may cause deterioration of the plastic and affect the quality of the water.
