AM Radio Has Stopped Receiving a Signal

My 2006 Subaru Outback AM radio has stopped receiving signals. Has anyone had that problem and know a solution?

My husband the electronics whiz sez:

"If the AM does not work, but the FM and/or CD does work, then an internal problem with the radio is likely. This would require repair or replacement of the radio. If the radio/CD is completely dead, then either the power fuse blew, or the power connector on the back of the radio came loose. If there is sound/static but no clear AM signal, then the antenna cable is not connected properly on the back of the unit."

Hope this helps!

I would call a Subaru dealer and see what they have to say about it. It's probably the wiring or a fuse.

The upcoming analog switch over does not affect cars or regular radios whatsoever. The switch over only affects television.

Is your radio an analog radio?
