RE: AM Radio Has Stopped Receiving a Signal By susan matthews (90) Contact My husband the electronics whiz sez: "If the AM does not work, but the FM and/or CD does work, then an internal problem with the radio is likely. This would require repair or replacement of the radio. If the radio/CD is completely dead, then either the power fuse blew, or the power connector on the back of the radio came loose. If there is sound/static but no clear AM signal, then the antenna cable is not connected properly on the back of the unit." Hope this helps! It's probably the wiring or a fuse. The upcoming analog switch over does not affect cars or regular radios whatsoever. The switch over only affects television.
