Inexpensive Do-it-Yourself Pool Patios

We installed an in-ground pool a few years ago and have not yet put a patio area around the pool. We are on a hill and are afraid of cracking with concrete or pressed concrete, plus it is very expensive. Does anyone have any ideas on pool patios which are do-it-yourself and relatively inexpensive? Thanks

We put in a pool 14 years ago. We had a 3ft cement decking put around the whole pool once the ground had settled over the first winter. Then we put in a patio along one side of the pool with pavers. There have been no problems and we haven't had to do a thing in terms of maintenance. It was a labor intensive DYI job. But definitely worth in the long run.
