Protecting Fingers when Hammering Nails

Protecting Fingers when Hammering Nails, Closeup picture of hand holding spring type clothespin against a white backgroundDo your fingers hurt just thinking of you using a hammer and nails? If so, grab a clothespin and give them a break. Just place the nail in the grip of your clothespin and hammer until nail is securely in the wall, then release the tension on the nail and carefully lift up the clothespin. Finish hammering in the nail as usual.

Bobby pins work too, but this is really clever. Thumbs Up!

Using a finer toothed comb also works. Just insert the nail between the "tines" of the comb and hammer away.

I've never used a clothespin, great idea! I usually borrow the needle nose pliers from my husband's tool box-helps when tapping in those little teeny nails.
